Not sure, mate. Alkauthar and MercyMission do have services in Sydney. I am sure there will be something.

I went last year, Yvone Ridley was one of the speakers, I approached her briefly on her pro-Taliban stance, and how just because she saw pornography being sold in the streets of Jalallabad doesn’t make the Taliban’s cause legitimate, she kinda back-tracked, but yeah, all in all it was really informative, and I highly recommend all to attend. :yes:

Times & Dates:
Friday March 21st 3.00pm to 8.00pm
Saturday March 22nd 10.00am to 7.30pm
Sunday March 23rd 10.00am to 7.30pm
The conference Program is full of amazing benefit, so you don't want to miss a single session, let alone a whole day!
Venue: The main lecture theatre will be the Copland Theatre in the Economics & Commerce Building and several other theatres will be used, including the Public Lecture Theatre in the adjoining Old Arts Building, and all will be AV linked to the main venue inshaAllah.

Facilities:
o Children under the age of eight will NOT be allowed into the main theatre, the Copland Theatre. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Mothers with small children have been allocated a designated lecture theatre, which will be AV linked to the main lecture theatre insha-Allah.
o A designated room will also be available for mothers to change and feed their small children.
o A thriving Bazaar area will have 20+ Stalls that will offer everything from perfumes and clothing, to books and AV material, to Islamic and community services.
o A variety of food and drink kiosks will be available, offering a wide range of tasty foods and sweets, as well as hot and cold beverages.
o Children's entertainment will be available, including a jumping castle.
Format: The three day conference will include lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and presentations by various Islamic organisations.

I am but not sure that I will go every day of it. If my wife decided to go with me, I'll go tomorrow for the whole day, else I will go for a few hours in the morning and then I will go on the last day....
I had a few things planned for this break so gotta get those done too.

Subhanallah brothers and sisters... among about 2000 Muslims, only two or three Afghan participants... and the event was free. Ya Salaam.....and we say our situation is not getting better.

I heard that Abdullah Hakim Quick will be in Sydney this week for some lectures. Let me see if I can find a schedule or something for you.
