What i think is this, slowly slowly all the culture of of united state will go all over the world, there used to be Mkdonald in kabul now afghanidol, if they do the same thing with a different name or different way its; ok, but following americain culture its; a shame

You point is right to an extent. But I think only changing the name doesnt change much. It is the concept which comes from US. So if it is Afghan Idol or Afghan star etc it doesnt change much.

But I think, it doesnt have a commercial charakter and might introduce new talents to Afghan music community and this is a positive aspect.

I THINK WE HAVE ENOUGH AFGHAN SINGERS..... NOWADAYS EVEN PEOPLE WHO SING HORRIBLE CONSIDER THEMSELVES AS HONARMANDS.

I think we have currenty only a few really professionl singers and artists. Only playing keyboard and singing in a Arosi doesnt make an artist.

well maby u haven't heard of all the new singers..... and yes there are only a couple of REAL singers but like i said before others condider themselves as singers!
