I guess you have forgotten that males in Asian countries have close friendships such as one portrayed in the movie. There are friends who are like brothers. It doesnt mean that they are gay. The society there is different. Like if you have a close female friend, it doesnt necessarily mean that you are a lesbian.

brokeback mountain, as far as i have heard, is a movie about gay love while Dosti is a movie about two friends. So that was a very bad comparison.

Yea I have that one.......Ahamd zahir sang it real nice. I think this is one of the best composes of U. Nainawaz.

That is one of the best pieces of Dari Literature, I mean the poem.....

By the way, the first part of the Poem was also originally narrated by Rodaki Samarqandi, but I don't know why is he saying Farukhi Seestani.....and it's story is also very interesting...

I am not sure if he had an album in Kabul. I know he sang a couple of songs in kabul. The only early album of ehsan is called " musafer". Is that the one you are talking about? I have that album if you want.
