I loved this movie, it was quite hilarious and at the same time meaningful. also, another thing I like about this movie is that unlike other Afghan films they have NOT copied any indian scene or dialogue, its very Afghan.

There was another movie a while ago i saw...the acting of the people were really poor but the story was very sad because it show the realitiy of some people in Afghanistan. It was abt a man giving his small daughter to an old guy and then the girl gets pregnant or something so the mother in law wuld not take her to the hospital when she got sick.

I haven't had the chance to watch the kite runner, I have just read the book and I cried :crying: at 'Sohrab's part', . I am assuming the movie is as wonderful as the book, am i right guys? (those who have watched the film)

Osama was very disturbing, uncomfortable to even watch - to the point that i think the producer exaggerated a lot about treatment of Taliban.

and YES, watch the movie Gumrah! :lovely: doesn't involve any political conflict or issues, its just about the love and honor of two brothers.

to be honest afghan movies in general are really a waste of time!!!! I have probably watch 3 in my life, i dont blame them, we were at war for a life time, how we meant to focus on anything let a lone films!

Not sure if any of them are so great but I love "de konde zoi" and I remember liking "Khaakestar".lol watched it long time ago in Kabul. Haven't seen any new ones other than Osama..it was ok.
