the entire raj kapoor thing was over rated...dillip proved himself to be a great actor.....it's very important for an actor to convey his audience in to developing a interest in his on screen characters by playing rolls with which people can relate themselves to. suney deol failed to communicate with his audience and as the result, his films haven't been that successful. he is a good actor but he doesn't take chances...
i don't understand amir khan. i fail to see that special thing every one else sees in him. in contrast, i believe akshay kumar has done alot better than him.
nana patekar is one of those really rare actors you get to see once every decade....the man acts for the sake of acting.. showbiz has become very commercialized these days.

^ in my opnion Sanjeev kumar, Naseeruddin Shah and Nana Pathekar are the best actors of bollywood history, they are not very popular among the masses by acting wise these 3 are the best, Dilip Kumar and Amitabh are also very close behind them

Im not an expert on bollywood lol but still i'll point out who i love the most.

Classicsarhmendra because of his voice ( lol) and his acting and the movies his made i love him my fav classical heroes. i love Raja jaani. Sholay

Rajesh Khanna- i just instantly was in love with him, especially in emotional scenes.

And i dont know what Tushar Kapoor's dad name is but i love that guy too lol his got a nice build when he dances.

And ofcourse Amiabh Bachan- everybody knows why!!

Contemporary:

Hrithik- i loved him since i was in grade 5 i had this huge album of all his pics still have it now i rememeber how much time i had on my hands lol mainly coz he was good looking thats all. his acting is alright.

Srk- acting, emotional scenes and movies he made, and dialogues like " itnii shidat se mainee tumhe paaneh ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarey ne mujhe tumse milaneh ki saazish ki hai, kehte hai agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh poori kaynath tumhein usse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai "

AMIR KHAN love him to bits coz of his acting and ofcourse his face
Cute as a button lol fav movie: fannah and ghajini

Salman kha, saif ali khan. I think thats about all, the rest are all alright. but those stand out for me.

goopal singh, gurpindra singh, julindra singh, qabsindra singh, peejindra Singh and soo on haha.. indian movies have become soo punjabi that i don't even feel like watching one minutes of them.. i just can't believe i wasted all my youth on these movies..

^ which ones are you refering too, though ya i agree that i liked older movies better, especially from the 70's. Amitabh era was the best and most interesting. Also the songs back then were much better, mostly because they used exprienced trained musicians and song writers ( of urdu language) mostly. Now days anyone can come up with crappy lyrics
